Welcome to the Fremont County School District #38 and to our website. My name is Dr. Vonda Wells and I am an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. It is with great honor and humility to serve as the Superintendent of the Arapaho Charter High School, the Arapahoe Middle School and the Arapahoe Elementary School. We are committed to investing our time as we empower our 460 students to be our future leaders.
Our community takes pride in the Arapaho culture, quality of life, and success of our local schools. At Fremont County School District #38, we understand student identity is a critical component in student academic success. Our District offers Arapaho language and culture to all of our students. We want our students to know who they are as Native people.
Our District is committed to bringing out the best in every student and recognizes that strong schools are the foundation of a strong community. In order to have a strong community we must have students who are highly educated and able to make informed decisions for the future of our community. Hence, our number one goal is student achievement. Our district staff utilizes innovative curricular and blended learning to provide inquiry-based and problem-solving instruction for our district students. We want our students to be confident, active participants in their own learning.
Our District understands teamwork, dedication and collaboration is the key to student success. We want to encourage our stakeholders to join us as we share a vision of connectedness for our students and staff. We want our students and staff to feel safe and have a sense of belonging as we experience success at learning and teaching.
We invite you to be a part of our journey to success. If you have any questions or if need assistance, please feel free to call us at 307-856-9333. Please come to your student’s school and come often.
