CONSOLIDATED GRANT

Title I

The purpose of the Title I Program is to provide supplemental educational programs and support for students most at risk of failing to meet state academic standards.

 

Title II

The purpose of this program is to provide grants to districts in order to increase student academic achievement by improving teacher and principal quality and increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in the classrooms and principals in schools.

Title IV-A SSAE (Student Support and Academic Achievement) 

The program purpose is to support and improve students’ academic achievement by increasing the capacity of States, LEA’s and local communities.

 

IDEA Consolidated Grant (Individuals with Disabilities Act) Part B 611 & 619

Goal: To improve the educational results and functional outcomes for all children with disabilities

Part B 611

Our District employed Counselor will provide counseling to students and network with parents about strengthening skills of their student, utilizing services at school that are intended to ultimately increase the student's personal and academic abilities to include assistance and paying providers and/or staff is assisting students in completing applications requirements for college readiness, assisting the parents in understanding test scores, as well as assisting students and parents in understanding the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process, assessments, and laws.

Strategy and/or Activities: Child Find Agreements with Other Agencies – Arapaho & Shoshone 

 

Child Development Service(s) Program

The Early Intervention Program, Child Development Services Region 14 provides screenings to children on and around the Wind River Indian Reservation for ages birth through five. This encompasses the areas of Fort Washakie, Ethete, Arapahoe, Crowheart, Pavillion, Kinnear, Lander, Riverton, and Hudson. These screenings cover all areas of development, and strive for the most developmentally and culturally appropriate result for children and their families. Assessment tools include the use of developmental indicators for the assessment of learning-3, and motor, concepts and language ages 3-6.

 

Title VI

The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Indian Education, funds this program. Title VI is an Indian Education Formula grant, which focuses on addressing the language and cultural needs of our Native American students. Such programs include supporting the professional development of teachers of our Native American students.

F2S

The Farm to School program of the US Department of Agriculture allows entities such as Arapahoe Schools to plan and explore the utilization of local foods served though child nutrition programs.  Arapahoe Schools successfully applied for a Planning Grant of the F2S program. The program teaches children about food and agriculture through garden and classroom education.

 

Totes of Hope Program

We at FCSD #38 are happy to share a new program with the students attending Arapahoe Schools.  Our school has elected to join the Backpack program which provides families with groceries at various times throughout the school year.  With Spring Break coming up, we want to ensure our students have access to healthy meals.

McKinney-Vento Program

This program is designed to address the problems that homeless children and youth face in enrolling, attending and succeeding in school. Under this program, school districts that apply and are granted this Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) funding, must ensure that each homeless child and youth have equal access to the same free, appropriate public education, including a public preschool education, as other children and youth.

Johnson-O’Malley (JOM)


The mission of the Johnson O'Malley program is to address the unique cultural needs of Native American students attending Fremont County School District’s Public Schools, through a supplemental program of services planned, developed and approved by the local Indian Education Committee (IEC). IEC’s consist of parents/guardians of eligible Native American students who attend the respective public school.

 

Rural and Low-Income School Grant


The Rural and Low-Income Schools (RLIS) program is an initiative that provides grant funds to rural districts that serve concentrations of children from low-income families. Under the RLIS program, the US Department of Education awards funds by formula to the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE), which in turn makes subgrants to the districts.

 

Title I School Improvement Grant


ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) requires that state(s) dedicate a percentage of the State Title I Allocations to provide to school districts to support schools that are identified as either Comprehensive or Targeted Support and Improvement.
