Wednesday and Thursday this week!

The Student of the Week for Arapaho Charter High School is Shayda BigLeggins! Shayda was nominated by William Benn.
Shayda is the daughter of Donovan BigLeggins and Kacey Armajo, and an 11th grade student at ACHS. She continues to be a rock star in the classroom as evidenced by her 3.5 GPA through the first quarter, and teachers view her as a conscientious student who is always on top of her studies. Her nominating teacher, says “Shayda is always current with her assignments in class and willing to help other students with their work. She is helpful and always participates in classroom discussions.” She is fun-loving and well-liked by peers and teachers alike, and truly exemplifies what an engaged and invested student is. As such she is an excellent roll model for her fellow students as well.
At ACHS Shayda is an integral part of our first-ever volleyball team, and is a leader on the floor as well. She also plans to play basketball and go out for track as the school year moves on. She is a member of our Bring Change to Mind club, and helps out with the school district’s Food Distribution program. Outside of school Shayda enjoys spending time with family, any opportunity to play basketball, and listening to the music of DeJ Loaf. After graduating from high school she plans to attend college and pursue a career in the medical field. Congratulations, Shayda!
