Devin Martel is the Arapaho Charter High School Student of the Week!
Devin, the younger brother of Tavion Goodman and grandson of Ginger Potter, is a 10th grader at ACHS. He has made great strides in his academics and is very involved in many aspects of student life at school. A nominating teacher writes “Devin has shown great responsibility this year. He is doing very well turning in assignments. He also encourages classmates, he’s always on time, and he is respectful.” He is a member of the Warriors basketball team, plays football, and is considering going out for track & Field this spring. “Devin is a strong and dedicated athlete, and he applies those character traits to everyday life,” writes another staff member. He is also active with playing with the drum group at Friday Cultural Celebrations, and helps with the district Food Distribution program.
Outside of school Devin loves hanging out with his girlfriend and caring for the child they have together. He also enjoys teaching his younger siblings the game of basketball. Basketball is a passion of his, and he plays every chance he can get. He hopes to parlay his love and skill in the game to the college level when he graduates from high school, perhaps at CWC. Congratulations, Devin!
