Arapaho Charter High School is proud to recognize Nyjah Behan as our Student of the Week!
Nyjah, a junior at ACHS, is the son of Matthew Kail Behan and Laterra Duran. He is the full package when it comes to student life, and a rock star in the classroom. Indeed, though this is his junior year he will be graduating in May with honors. He is a regular fixture on the honor roll each quarter, and currently boasts all As in his courses. A nominating teacher writes “Nyjah is a great addition to have in class. He is diligent about getting assignments turned in, and he asks great questions during class. He is friendly and helpful to his classmates.” A second states “Nyjah is a model student and a breath of fresh air. His great attitude, friendly demeanor, and positive energy are characteristics that enhance the culture and climate of our school.”
At ACHS, Nyjah participates in golf and basketball, helps with Food Distribution, and enthusiastically participates in the wide variety of activities that take place at school. He also takes a leadership role as a Junior Class Representative to the Warrior Council. He enjoys interacting with people at school and adventuring outside when he has free time away from school. After graduating in May he plans to enroll at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, where he’s already been accepted, to study Social Work. Way to go, Nyjah!

This week we we’re excited to welcome the UW Art Museum Artmobile to our school! The Artmobile, led by educator Sarita Talusani Keller, brings a pop-up art exhibition featuring 17 incredible works of art based on the theme “Message Received: Transmissions Across Time & Space.” This collection explores how we connect with the past and future through space, technology, mythology, and time travel!

7th-grade and high school students explored NASA’s Golden Record and brainstormed what messages might be important to include if we were to communicate with extraterrestrial life. Their ideas sparked fascinating discussions about what defines humanity and our place in the universe! 🌍✨

🦅✨ Eagle Excitement in Mrs. Warren’s Class! ✨🦅
Mrs. Warren’s class is celebrating a special "Eagle Treat" today! For the past month, students have been following the Big Bear, California eagle pair, witnessing an incredible moment in nature—the laying of three eggs, and even more amazingly, all three eggs hatched! 🐣🐣🐣 This is a rare and unforgettable experience!
To bring their learning to life, students have been writing their own eagle stories and creating beautiful eagle drawings, which are proudly displayed in the hallway. ✏️🎨
Their hard work and excitement have made this such a fun and memorable journey! 🦅❤️
